First church constructed by the Methodists in Nederland was a frame building.

Photograph of the original First Methodist Church built about 1908. This photograph was probably taken about the time the church was c0mpleted since there is no development of the area shown. According to an article in the Midcounty Chronicle, 31 Jul 2002, pg. 8A, it was located on the site where the Community Fellowship Center stands. That would be the corner of Nederland Avenue and 13th Street.
