Title

George J. Yentzen home?

Description

Two story frame house with wrap-around porch. Columns of porch are brick on the lower half. We believe a photo of this home appeared in the Midcounty Review, April 11, 1963, pg. 6. With the caption: "A SHOWPLACE IN NEDERLAND was the George J. Yentzen home located on Boston Avenue at 13th Street (1304) where the bank parking lot is located now. Built by Mr. Yentzen when Nederland was only a small village for which his bakery provided daily bread, the house was moved over to Helena Avenue (1220) to make way for the new bank. It is now the attractive home of Mr. and Mrs. D. X. Rienstra. Picture courtesy Mrs. Monta (Maryon Ruth Yentzen) Miles."
