Caption found in the Chronicle, 6 May 1948 issue read: "Dutch girls vieing for the honor of serving the Dutch ambassador, E. N. van Kleffens, with pie a la mode. This pitcure was taken at the noon luncheon held for the ambassador by the Nederland Chamber of Commerce Saturday. Seated left to right are, Dow Wynn, master of ceremonies
"Sandy" Rienstra, the ambassador, H. P. Youmans, president of the Chamber of Commerce, and Hendrick Bos, Netherlands consul at New Orleans." The others are unknown at this time.
On back: "E. N. van Kleffens, Ambassador of the Netherlands to the U.S."
