Dedication of Nederland's Fifth City Hall
Description
Photograph was taken during the Dedication Ceremony of Nederland's new City Hall on 11 January 1969. Located at 1400 Boston Avenue, this was the first building constructed specifically to house offices for the city of Nederland. An item in the newspaper indicated that about 300 people "attended the dedication ceremonies with participants and spectators shivering in the near-freezing temperatures. Sunshine replaced flurries of sleet just as ceremonies began."
