This photograph appeared in the Chronicle, November 14, 1957, pg. 8 with this caption: "The American LaFrance 750-gallon a minute fire truck, costing $18,000 has been delivered to the Nederland Fire Department and city officials this week, from the company's factory. In the above picture, showing off their new equipment are James E. Carrington, inside the truck and Austin W. Sattler, standing, both full time firemen. Johnny Cormier is Fire Chief for the city of Nederland. The new equipment will be put into use with the completion of the city's fire station, which is scheduled early next year."
