This photograph appeared in the Midcounty Review, November 3, 1949, pg. 1 with this caption: "Shown above is a recent picture of local firemen. They are, front row, Devon Farris, assistant chief, and Monroe Findley, chief ; second row, James Delahoussaye, J. C. Cuccia, J. T. Tiner, L. A. Beakes, C. E. Stephens ; back row, Peter Peterson, Tommy Housenfluck, Walter Brown, Dewey Thompson and "Dutch" Krietsch." Behind them are Fire Station No. 1 and the department's 1941 red Ford pumper truck. The fire station was the first in the city and was a metal and tin building at 1404 Boston Avenue."
