Barras Marker
Description
A marker with a plaque denoting the gift of park land to the city of Nederland for the Nederland Windmill Museum was unveiled on the donated tract on March 10, 1970. Plaque has since been removed from stone base and is now mounted in ground at original location near the walking path in Tex Ritter Park.
Marker text: "This land was donated by Mrs. Norine Barras in memory of Dan Barras, Captain and Mrs. T. L. Martens, Captain and Mrs. W. P. Allen, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Johnson for use as a public park" March 1970"
