Description
A similar photo was printed in the Port Arthur News, 16 Sep 1991, pg. 3A with the following caption: "Marker Dedication -- Bruce Hamilton, chairman of the Jefferson County Historical Commission, talks about a historical marker at the site of the first mercantile building, 1166 Boston Avenue. in Nederland. The county commission, along with the Nederland Historical Society, dedicated the marker on Saturday. The marker tells of G. W. The original mercantile building was destroyed by fire." Standing at the podium is Bruce Hamilton.
