Description

Nederland Centennial History, pg. 293 has the following description of the photo: "About 1905, W. L. Freeman Hardware Store. (Primos is located here today.) Mr. Barfield on wagon. Others, left to right: Mr. Freeman's son and granddaughter, Mr. Freeman, Mr. Keeny (seated), Maurice Freeman, Steve Block, Dr. Simon, Elsa Gollier, George Singleton, Charles Block and Ivan Rockett." It looks like the boys on the right were playing ball.
The library owns a copy with the following information: "Freeman Hardware, 1100 Boston Nederland, 1905. L to R, Ike Freeman, granddaughter, C. L. Freeman, Floyd Keeney's father, Maurice freeman, Dr. Sammons, Mr. Gallier, George Singleton, Charles Block, Ivan Lockett."
Inscription on top reads "Dad's Store in Nederland."
