Photograph shows the First Baptist Church which was located on Boston Avenue. At the time of this photo the balustrades were wood and no lettering appeared on the front of the building.
Nederland Pharmacy was located on the corner of Boston Avenue and Twin City Highway. The lunch counter was a popular gathering spot for old timers and newcomers alike. Note that the signage is now done using neon lamps.
Photograph of the Nederland High School after completion. You can see the stadium on the upper section of the photo. Cars are parked next to the buildings and on the street in front of the school. This school later became Central Middle School.
